Energy per mile doesn't add up

The energy use per mile displayed does not add up.

I charge my 2017 p100d to 90%, or 90kWh for a100kWh battery. I've traveled 107.1 miles and used 37.7 kWh, but in reality, my battery has depleted to 39% out 90-39=51kWh. That's 30% more use than displayed!? I've been 'babying' the car during these miles, and still my actual usage is 51kWh for 107.1 miles, or 476 Wh per mile! That's an enormous amount. Anyone has an explanation?

Your P100D doesn't actually have 100kWh of usable energy. Never did. There's always a 4kWh or 5kWh buffer at the bottom to keep the pack from going to 0kWh which would render it useless. Also, your 2017 battery has degraded normally for 4 years, also decreasing your total usable kWh. You have to determine your actual current usable kWh then do your calculations. When you charge to 90% or 100%, how many rated miles do you get?
