EPAuto air compressor

I bought the EPAuto tire air compressor on Amazon for about $30.
When I used it on my wife's Subaru Crosstrek, I set it for 34psi and when it turned off it was spot on.
Then I used it on my M3, set it for 42 psi, and when it turned off, the display on the unit and confirmed by my gauge read 43.5.
I know it runs a little longer when it hits the desired number, but 1.5 lbs is too much.
So I set it to 41psi and it shut off at 42psi which is what I wanted.
Anyone have experience with these cheap tire compressors?

Then it’s the shut off pressure sensor within the unit.
Here is the weird part, on my wife’s 2019 Subaru Crosstrek, it was dead on. We set it to 34 and that is where it ended up.
I set my one tire to 42, and it ended up at 43.5. I can understand the machine inflating a little more because when you unscrew the piece from the tire valve some air will leak out. I am beginning to think that it might be the special tires on the M3. I thought I read that the inside treadwall has a deadening foam attached to it so to deaden street noise.
