Martin's current obsession is getting rid of the ground squirrels and other creatures that were living in our tool shed.

This all started because Carolyn demanded that I find a way to keep the ground squirrels from sneaking up behind her and sniffing her feet when she went outside. For some reason, she screamed rather loudly when this happened.

The good news is that we are animal lovers and no ground squirrels have been harmed. We are both vegetarians, so we have not boiled up any "squirrel stew." All we did was fill in their home while they were out foraging for the afternoon. OK, so we used a few tons of concrete to fill it, but we have not seen any more ground squirrels either.

Squirrel "salary"

Hi Martin,

you could have tried offering the squirrels some salt, as I am guessing that is why they were interested in Carolyn's feet in the first place. I could be wrong, but it would have been a cheap, and possibly effective, alternative to concrete... :smile:

Then again some squirrels are known to have foot fetishes... :biggrin:
