Erwin SC vs Waterloo SC

Need to drive my kids from Toronto to somewhere in Pa (near Honesdale) and then I am heading on to NJ.

ABR shows me 2 routes which are basically the same distance and total time - one going through Peace Bridge and stopping at the Erwin SC (and then Binghamton) with the other route going through Rainbow Bridge and stopping at Waterloo SC (and then Binghamton).

I have been to the Erwin SC a few times before but never Waterloo.

Any thoughts or preferences for one route - Erwin vs Waterloo, over the other?

Thx in advance.

I've done both and prefer Erwin over Waterloo.

There's not much going on at the Erwin charger, but it's a very easy off-and-on for 86. It is in the parking lot of a dunkin donuts, so a nice place to pee and grab a coffee if that's your thing.

Waterloo is at the casino, so it may be a good choice if you're looking for a nice meal while charging. I can't say for sure though since it's quite a hike from the charger to the resort and it's always seemed too hot to walk across that vast parking lot.

Thx - Actually now that you mention it, I have been at Waterloo! That is the one where the chargers are at one end of the parking lot and then you have to hike across the parking flat top to get to the casino. Yes, my recollection is that there is no where to buy anything (drinks, snacks) but some of the nicest "proximity to SC" washrooms I have come across. And wow it smells good when you walk into the lobby of the casino! Thx

Amazing that the Waterloo route would be the same time/distance as going down 390 and then to the Erwin SC.

Maybe it's a minor concern, but going the Erwin route would result in less time on the NYS Thruway (and thus less cost). Plus you would be off & on the Thruway.

Dislcaimer: I haven't been to either Supercharger, although I will probably be visiting the Waterloo one in a few weeks.

I was surprised as well but according to ABRP, the km and time are almost exactly the same (782 km if I go "up" through Waterloo, cross a Rainbow, through Batavia then on to Binghamton) vs 788 km if I go the Erwin route - (Cross at Peace Bridge - through Elmira and then to Binghamton) but yes, good point about the Thruway - that definitely add$ up.
