I am considering selling my Model S, which is scheduled to be available for pick up in Tilburg on friday the 15th (yes, in four days) Contact me for serious offers, [email protected] Here is a pdf with the setup: Dropbox - MyTeslaDesign_11-10-2013.pdf (I am _not_ asking for advice on whether I should keep it or not )
Several reasons, will most likely make a new reservation next year instead. Mainly a timing issue. Fires are irrelevant as long as they don't appear spontaneously.
I'm guessing it's related to the Finnish shop and SC opening around mid-2014 and the current issues you'd have getting the car where it's supposed to go, right? I somehow remember some discussions you had about getting the car actually to your home being an issue. And i know about the finnish shop in Helsinki because that's of vested interest also to me here in Tallinn Sadly it's got pano and not a P so not for me
Well, yes and no actually. I have zero possibility to spend three days driving up the car, especially now since there are no SC:s. The upcoming finnish shop would allow me to get free shipping, instead of the 4000€ minimum I have to spend now, but I would most certainly want to do the rest of my business with the Stockholm store and service center. Also, winter will be here within days with icy roads and sludge. I am just not motivated to pick up my car right now, would rather take delivery in april. Also I hear some dutch EV incentives are expiring on January 1st?
Ah I think the dutch incentives were extended according to the Q3 conf call where Elon was asked about the prioritization of markets based on changing environment. With regard to transport, can't you have Tesla ship the car on a trailer to you? They have offered this for me and from what I have gotten estimates from Tesla and from others who have done such things this is a few hundred euros, not thousands. I too planned originally to drive, but as noone is willing to provide full insurance (i.e. that covers the repair to the car if you yourself are at fault), hence the trailer. I will most likely take the car from DMV registration and inspection straight to my favorite tire swapping shop and swap to studded winter tires when it arrives in January, but I'd not let that stop me
Hmm... I've got to check that then for real, I was told by Tesla that they estimate it to be 3-digit amount and another Tesla orderer mentioned that he's done it before with other cars and it shouldn't cost more than a few hundred euros. Could it be that the use of ferries is hitching up your price? In which case I'd recommend getting it to Tallinn and picking it up from here and then you can take it on a ferry yourself either to Stockholm or Helsinki, which ever is closer to you. I'll try to get a quote as that impacts me too.
So talk to your delivery specialist and ask what it would cost to ship to Tallinn (it'd be land only delivery from Tilburg, maybe that changes things), that would be also interesting information for me for January. I'll try to get some quote from local possibilities, but that may take a while and I don't yet have a DS that I could talk to on those things and everyone else in Tesla seems to point me to my DS for such information
I actually found a quote from my DS also to Tallinn. Send me an email, [email protected], and I will forward the quotes to you.
Want the new options? ;-) my car is 50000 SEK more expensive with the same config. So for highend config the Tesla just got more expensive in Europe... Will not pay the premium for the minor changes...
Nope. I would order the exact same setup, with the one exception that I might at least consider ordering the Performance version. As long as there is no 4x4 announced/available.
Have now figured out a way to get the car shipped home virtually for free. So now really on the fence wrt this... will decide tomorrow, selling or not selling.
Unless you have some serious financial issue or plan to get new items I'd say being one of the first around your region to drive this car is well worth quite some amount of money so if you can now get it for a decent amount, then go for it and enjoy If you do bring it through Tallinn, then let me know and we should meet up for a cup of coffee (no way you want to drink beer and then go drive the brand new Model S).
Please use the For Sale section for stuff like this (thread now moved). Clicking on the "+New Thread" button in this section (top left of the page) will open up the Panjo Marketplace where you can simply fill out a listing and the details will appear in a new thread.
Well we actually had a fruitful discussion about shipping to northern Europe. Would have missed that in the For Sale-section.
