EV day at EvCC 4/16/18 - come show off your EV!

We will be hosting an EV day at Everett Community College next Monday 4/16/18 as part of our Earth Week Celebration! We have hosted quite a few of these before and they have been very successful with a lot of support from members of this forum. You get a chance to share your passion about Electric Vehicles to a group of enthusiastic engineering students.

Date and time:
Monday 4/16/18 from 10:30am - 1:30pm (There will be a lunch break from 11:50am - 12:20pm, lunch provided)

Location:
Everett Community College Campus, Everett

If you have not been to one of our EV days before, it is a very fun event! Students in our ENGR 111, Introduction to Engineering Course are beginning a multi week sustainability project. They are very interested in the cars and EV technology. We start out with a 30 - 40 minute question and show period and then generally give rides to the students. If you prefer not to give rides or cannot stay for the whole event, that is fine. Please come anyway.

Please let me know if you are interested in joining us this quarter. There are blink chargers located on campus (Level 2, 30 AMP). I am also happy to answer any questions that you have.

Events will take place on the Everett Community College campus at 2000 Tower Street in Everett (98201). The cars will be displayed on campus. You are asked to meet in Parking lot F at the date and time listed above. You should see me or a Colleague as you pull in, if you don't just give me text at (425) 202-5634. We will guide you along a walking path (very drive-able) to park in a covered area in front of Gray Wolf Hall (building 7 on map). Here is a map of campus: http://www.everettcc.edu/files/administration/cwt-security/security/parking/parking-map-print.png

Please let me know if you are interested or if you have any questions and thank you for your support!

All EVs are welcome, not just Tesla's. We would love to increase the variety of EV's shown. We already have a Nissan Leaf, a Kia Soul EV, and I'm working with a local Chevy Dealership to hopefully get a Bolt. We would love to have a Model 3 if anyone has one that they could bring. I hope to see you there!

Thanks for doing this. Good luck with your event! We just had one yesterday in Richland and it was a big hit. Four S, one X, one 3, three Leaf, three Volt, two Bolt, one 2018 Leaf, one Prius Prime and even an electric wheel chair and kid cruiser. The more we can educate the public the better. I believe that there will be some other events over here on the east side (Wenatchee/Chelan) this month as well.

Hi ChadS, RPO - We are excited to see you both again. There will be 1 X there since my colleague has one. We would love 2 as well so feel free to bring whichever one you like....as long as you don't get in trouble with your wife :)

We are definitely looking for more volunteers so if you are reading this, please consider joining us!

Hey Joe, I am happy to bring the X. But just FYI, it only seats 5 and does not have the performance package the S has, so I think the S is a better car for rides.

No big deal though. Maybe there is something else about the X you think your students will appreciate.

Hi Joe, I'm going to be bringing my brand new pearl white model 3 on Monday. To justify to my boss doing this on a workday I will be representing Dell Technologies who is my employer. We have some leeway to do University Outreach activities during business hours so I'm going to take advantage.

See you there..
Armando
