I think this is a good topic and worthy of a constant-update/input/feedback from the TMC community - what locales in Southern California are EV-friendly? I.e., shopping/dining/entertainment areas that have EV chargers, parking, etc...
I’ll start with Old Towne Orange (in the city of Orange, CA, obviously). This is a very walkable area with plenty of great restaurants, breweries, coffee shops, bars, and shops, with ample charging stations. The amount of time you could spend here enables you to charge your car for a good amount of time. The city recently erected a brand new free, covered public parking structure in Old Towne with several ChargePoint stations and designated “clean air vehicle” parking without chargers. There are two Tesla-only chargers near the restaurant Haven. The Civic Center (also in Old Towne) has free public parking with ChargePoint Stations. Chapman University (on the north end of Old Towne) has dozens of ChargePoint stations too - though you need a university permit to park there. About two miles from Old Towne is the Santa Ana Superchargers.
The Irvine Spectrum also has a lot of chargers, but unlike Old Towne Orange, the chargers are usually always occupied.
Where else do you all suggest?
