Off the success of National Plug In Day - Central Maryland (27 EVs), our next meetup returns to Fulton, Maryland, Saturday, October 6th at 9:00 AM in Maple Lawn. We can chat and charge for a couple hours before heading off individually (or carpool) on the Metropolitan Washington, DC Tour of Solar & Green Homes which starts at 11:00 AM and runs till 5:00 PM.
This will be a great opportunity to learn about integrating solar energy with electric vehicle use. There are over 70 homes on the tour in the Metro DC area. Five of them are very close to our Fulton, MD Meetup location. Several of those are owned by long-time members of the Electric Vehicle Association of Greater Washington, DC who use solar energy in conjunction with their EVs.
You can visit those five nearby homes with less than 11 miles of driving after leaving Maple Lawn. Perhaps those who need a longer charge can carpool with others while their cars remain plugged in at Maple Lawn.

MD Volt holds informal gatherings of EV enthusiasts on the first Saturday of each month (except for November, where we have a big meetup scheduled for University of Maryland on 11/10). Maple Lawn has six SemaConnect charging stations that require a prepaid SemaCharge card and costs $1.00 per hour.
