Was able to find one Enterprise location with a Nissan Leaf, Central Houston Nissan (2901 S Loop W, Houston, TX 77054)
I had to go out of way to pick it up (outside 5 mile delivery range).
From all my queries, this is likely the ONLY BEV rental in Houston from either Enterprise or Hertz.
It is top of line Leaf "SL Plus" (Plus is big battery), very nice.
Leaf has 3 different power usage configurations (Eco, ePedal, Drive B mode) that can extend range.
A very nice bonus is free charging at any Nissan dealership! Went to local Nissan yesterday and charged up (1:16 hours from 28 to 97%). The limit is they have only 1 CHAdeMO (L3) charger at each location, so lucky it was open.
I am super happy to I spend time to find an BEV to rent! Even my wife who is incredibly picky about driving is enjoying the drive!
On the flip side, I learned Hertz only offers BEV (Tesla) in California, Florida, and NY, NY. Probably will be months, more like well over a year before available nationwide.
