Awesome, that's the way to go to convince people to consider electric vehicles. The stats are simply amazing.
Curious about 1mw LiPo batteries. How do they differ from our Li batteries?

With speed being the priority over range, I'd suspect they wired them in series to create very high voltage with lower capacity as tradeoff.

Yeah it says only 40-50 mile range right now. It's just for the drag strip. What I really liked is the switch that resets the power draw at 70mph to access the 1,800 torque all over again, eliminating the decrease in power we are used to at high speeds. Almost like putting a gear in an EV, super interesting.

Isn't that exactly what it was, an overdrive gear?

They mentioned overdrive gear. How could it be strong enough? Because the car isn't very heavy?

Looks like they are a few miles from me. Might have to knock on the door...

I know outfits like Gear Vendors make pretty beefy OD's designed for diesels/towing setups, so maybe something along those lines...

They lost me at 50 mile range  This is a nice boon for EV vehicles in general, but I'll take 2.8s 0-60 and 200+ mile range of a P90DL. Plus that mustang doesn't look very safe, I'd be very afraid to drive it!

Anyway, very interesting video...

From what I understood from my extensive battery background (meaning 3min wikipedia article ;)), the battery is less safe due to its liquid nature, though capacity may be better...
