Looks like fun though! I wonder what the line for the charging station(s) is going to look like.

I suspect that most people (in Tesla's at least) who are local won't need to charge that day... I'm about 35 miles away and will do a standard charge as I always do. I'm in that area a lot for work and never need to charge during the day....

Yes - I would love to! All depends on daughters soccer schedule. Its difficult juggling schedules in the spring.

I'm happy to offer up my NEMA14-50 for anyone coming from afar to participate. You can also shoot up to the Milford Supercharger and then back down before the rally. The course is only 40 miles or so.

Since it's a $50 per car fee, bring 4 friends to make the BBQ lunch only $10/person. I'll put this as a tentative on my calendar, but at over 3 hours each way, it'll be a stretch.

All you Northeast/NY/CT Model S or EV Owners....

Remember this Saturday April 27th is the Westport Electric Car Club's EV Road Rally!

So far 20 cars are signed up to participate - and it should be a lot of fun! You can sign up there ($50) the day of the event if you like! Most will be arriving at 9am and the Rally starts at 10am -- make sure you bring a navigator! Segments & Distances will be measured and awards (and prizes) given to the winner. There will be an event (with food) afterwards at 1pm with sponsors!

At least 3 Tesla Model S's, Tesla Roadster, Chevy Volt, Nissan Leaf and others will be participating! Antique Electric Cars will also be on display at the event afterwards!
