Eventual performance boost option for LR?

I assume at some point Tesla will offer a performance boost similar to what was offered to M3 owners.

How much was it to unlock this and what did it lower the 0-60 to? Did it match the peformance 3 or was it still a bit slower?

It was a $2K option and brought 0-60 from 4.2 to 3.9 which is still slower than the M3P.

There will never be a software unlock that puts you in the Performance category.

They'll add it eventually. When their quarterly numbers aren't up to snuff they'll release something for the Model Y for a quick uptick in revenue. I'll be jumping on it once it's released.

I personally think that Tesla will release a boost option for the LR models. I also think they will make an improvement off the line for the performance model as I feel like it’s struggles from 0 to 10 mph, which is torque limited. Maybe down the line they will release Ludacris mode for all the P models LOL

I really want to hear more about the "performance" of the non-performance dual motor Y, from owners.... I've had two model 3's, and thinking about making the jump, but really don't want to pay for a performance model.

I haven't seen any good numbers at the track or from dragy, but it should be around 12.7 in the quarter, just a few tenths slower than the LR AWD 3.

Coming from ICE I love it but slightly less zip than my brother in law's model 3 non performance. Exactly what I expected given extra weight and size.

Oooo - perfect feedback. I just sold my dual motor 3. So you're saying the Y just feels slightly less quick. From a stop, or a roll? Seems tesla has limited the Y's power from a stop.

@ pt - yeah I think motortrend or one of the mags actually posted a 1/4 mile of the dual motor trapping 114mph, which is crazy impressive (like, thats fast). I wish they gave me more data on that number.
