I won't want Sentry mode on all the time for the following reasons: in crowded spaces it is too sensitive, any time someone walks by your car closer than 2 feet, it triggers sentry mode. Kind of useless in any tight parking situation since it can't distinguish actual damage or touching to just getting near the car. I did a sentry mode in a place where I wanted the car extra watched and it sent an alarm to me while I was a block away that the alarm went off -- it didn't, I checked and someone had backed up in the space in front of mine so that it came within 2 feet of my bumper, triggering the alarm. So of course, false alarm signal!
And second of all, sentry mode takes up a lot of space recording images from 5 or so cameras (front and sides) whenever someone gets close to the car. So I turn sentry mode on quite selectively.
If anyone knows why a car alarm signal alert shows up when your car isn't touched, I'd love an explanation!
Thanks.
