Yes, coal plants are bad for your health. Coal needs to die.

Not without an alternative to replace it, unless we want to see electricity rates necessarily skyrocket and the indigent dying in the dead of winter (and/or the dog days of summer). I guess the bright side is these deaths will happen much quicker than that caused by coal plant pollution.

Had we funded solar panels rather than wars to protect the oil supply, everyone could have them and some modern nuclear power plants would take care of the balance.
