Being impatient (as we all are), I'm trying to find out if they have started rolling out FSD to a wider user base as Elon tweeted he would in 2 weeks at the end of November. I havent heard anything since to show a reason why they wouldn't, or to see that more users have it. Has anybody heard anything?
I've seen a couple people on Twitter mention getting FSD Beta. And I think there is a map showing users from more States in the US have been added to FSD Beta. But I don't think we have any numbers of exactly how many people got FSD Beta so far. It would appear that FSD Beta is still going out to more people but still restricted to Early Access members.
A couple of new people have shown up on Twitter and YouTube, and some more states apparently have at least one tester, so they probably expanded it a bit. I don’t think we are anywhere close to a general release, though.
Elon specifically chose the word “wider” on purpose. That way, Tesla could roll it out to at least 1 more person and he’d technically be telling the truth. Barf.
I follow this Twitter list and it has all the known Twitter users that have the beta; I watched the group grow from ~21 to 31 in the last couple weeks. 50% wider beta https://mobile.twitter.com/i/lists/1319121975265067009
Lol...I doubt that’s going to happen. He also said “if it’s ready”. It’s obviously not ready for world wide release. You have to read what Elon says carefully.
FSD Beta is not out yet to the regular public. Plus, when you get FSD Beta it will say it in the release notes. It won't be a surprise when you start driving.
As of now you will be contacted by phone and must sign NDAs and Wavers before you get FSD Beta. FSD Beta Videos (and questions for FSD Beta drivers)
I'd like to get it just so I can have a button that tells Tesla this area/weird thing it did needs fixing. As of now, you just have to disable and enable at certain points in your drive and hope and pray for updates to fix it.
Hmmm, or maybe he was referring to people more plump around the midsection like me.... a "Wider" group
sounds right. I didn't want to sign a bunch of legal docs to try it. And by the way, there are a LOT more than just 20 out there.
I believe you do have a report button in your car. If you have the model 3, hold the white car button (car settings button) until it says “thank you”
He also said the holidays are "gonna be lit." That is an obvious reference to fsd. Nobody wants tiny updates right now, so he's not gonna tease something that's not big. It'd be like leasing someone to believe they're having a steak at Ruth Chris only to end up at Outback. It's coming in the next few days.
that does nothing but mark the event in the logs on the car. Makes it easier for techs to do diagnostics after a ticket is opened. It never sends anything to Tesla.
I agree. Not sure why 2k price was increased if it's still in early access beta. Once it goes wide, will it increase another 2k???
