This is by far the longest period of time between releases. December 31st was the last update for fsd beta. When you factor in that the last update didn't even change any FSD code, I hope this means they've been training this next build the whole time and that will be that much better.
...and coincidentally we just had X-mass, New Years Day and end of year time off......well just maybe there is some correlation.:D

Yes, most likely the team was offered / told to take some time off after 1st, since they worked till the end last year.

Looks like people with 3rd party authorization enabled are qualified for FSD beta now. Hope this is a sign that's getting wider release to more people soon.
I'm guessing that will not last long. The question is will the owner (beta tester) disable TeslaFi or will they lose the beta?
As of now it has not shown up on Teslascope and only the one Nevada vehicle is on TeslaFi.

It doesn't look like fsd beta is going wide any time soon. We'll have to temper our expectations even further:

A wide release is far off because it would need to be mindblowingly good, everywhere, consistently.

Tesla can't even wide release it to select areas because people can drive to other locations.

You'd think so, but look at some of the hot garbage they've released in the past. Not just UI crap, but remember how bad auto lane changes were? Hell, AP2 couldn't even lanekeep properly for a good long time. It's *still* not great at it and likes to get scary close to the outside of curves in a lot of cases.

FSD beta is a totally different ballgame, as evidenced by all the paperwork the testers need to sign.
