Experienced ICE racer gets his first of many EV grins

Yeah, the series DC motors have similar RPM's as an ICE, around 6k max, but loads of torque, so it looks as if they went with a racing auto transmission with manual shift. Dual Warp11 motors and the Shiva 3000+ amps max current controller means this thing should have insane torque.

How many speeds in that transmission?

Their electric car still has a transmission, originally a 5spd ZF unit from the M3, but now its a 2spd powerglide. So its just engine vs engine; gas tank vs batteries and cables vs fuel lines. As for the engines, they are running twin 11" Warps that weigh 24o lbs each for a total of 480 lbs of electric engine.
