Extended warranty

How on earth do you decide whether to buy the extended warranty? I don't have any concept of how much repairs will be on my Roadster or how likely there are to be problems! I have no data on likelihood or magnitude. Would welcome any thoughts.

Since nobody but Tesla can work on their systems, if it were me, I would go with the extended warranty.

I think the concencus is that most get the extended warranty, and skip the battery replacement option.

That's what I did. Seemed to make the most sense for me at least.
