Exterior Mirror Unfolds too Far

After an impact with a rubber work zone pole (while in autopilot on interstate) right side mirror will fold properly but unfolds too far. Tesla thinks may have to replace the entire unit, but I think it should be repairable, just a stop of some kind that must have broken. What do people think?

I’ll bet they replace the whole thing. I’ll also bet it is all on you, especially if you tell them you were using Autopilot in a work zone.

Any luck getting this fixed without a total mirror replacement?

I have the same exact issue. Were you able to replace it without having to get a new mirror?
