EZ Pass location

Is there a particular location on the windshield to place the EZ Pass? Or is anywhere okay?

On some other cars, I know that the windshield would be specially treated to prevent certain wavelengths from getting through, which would block EZ Pass from working.

I put mine in the back of the center screen, along the upper edge of the back. Not visible from the driver's seat, and looks better from outside (nothing additional on the windshield).

Are we talking an RFID sticker or some type of bulky transponder? My "sticker" is mounted (in my 3, still awaiting my Y to arrive) at the front center of my glass roof.

Mine that I put on the back of the center screen is a bulky one.

Yeah, that's an unknown as to where to place the RFID tag. On my 3 I have the three-position-switch transponder by the rearview mirror, plus the RFID tag in the lower right windshield. I took my other transponder from the MS we sold, and since I couldn't take the sticker, plan to just associate the transponder with the car and call it a day. Those for sure work in the spot as documented in the user manual.

It's the same as any other car... Just put it on the front upper windshield as depicted in the manual.

I have mine inside the lid of the center armrest/console. Haven't had any issues with EZ-Pass so far.

I put mine in a black silicone sleeve from Amazon. I need to reattach since I got a windshield tint strip installed last weekend.

I didn't know they made that. I used flat black spray paint on the back of mine to have it blend in.

Mine has a swtich for HOV, too bad its ugly af. I'll most likely just mount it where tesla says too.

Mine has a switch too. With the back painted black, and mounted right next to my camera, I barely notice it from the outside. I cannot even see it from the driver's seat.

What paint did you use? Just any ol' black paint? looks nice

Rust-oleum flat-black painters--touch (bought from Home Depot) . That type says that it's compatible with plastic. I used blue painter's tape to keep the paint only on the back.
