I agree, pulling with a strap.... What the maximum strength of that strap?

Using a towbar or an ‘A’ frame would have make it more credible.

Basically, the force required is equal to the friction of metal (flat rail) against metal (train wheels and wheel bearing).

It would be interesting to get a measurement of the force and the torque using strain gauge.

This looks like yet another marketing stunt to me. Why wouldn't the S or X be able to tow this just as well? I can't imagine the electric F150 being that much more powerful than a P100D.

Of course it’s a publicity stunt. Their goal was to get the attention away from Tesla. Most people will see a tiny truck pull a big train and be amazed by it.
