This reminds me almost exactly how you'd regenerate your car in F-Zero!!

First time I've seen it being used for anything other than buses or trams. Make car-parks out of this in every town as well and we're sorted.

This was meant to involve a motorway trial but I never heard when it was due to start, or if it is indeed still planned - major disruption to dig up motorway if specific installation for the trial. Static test results all done and looked pretty decent performance and safety - I was in a presentation that covered them. Things may have changed, but economic viability of in road systems seemed to make domestic use unlikely - that use case probably easier to satisfy by other means.
