I've had an E90 M3 (2008) and it was honestly my favorite car ever (the v8 was glorious, the steering was perfect, and the chassis was excellent).
The S65 was amazing, I got to here I really loved high[er] winding V8s over many of my previous cars with larger CI / lower RPM type designs (mostly Vettes). I used to say the S550 Mustang, especially the later models with the Gen III Coyote, had more in common with an M-car than their traditional comparison vehicles (like a Camaro). I had a 2019 GT, tuned for Ethanol, running it to ~7800, it sounded amazing, and there was so much rev range, it was so much fun to drive.
