Realistically though it seems Tesla would need a MASSIVE expansion of number of service centers, and staff at those centers, to be able to offer the same frequency and level of service/checks/maintenance that they offer on the S/X, given the much higher sales volume on the 3.

Rather than do that they seem to be admitting the car doesn't really need hardly any of that anyway. It's one of the (several) significant costs savings compared to an ICE vehicle.

I bought the extended on my 2013 P85+. It has been totally worth it two years in. Replaced the center screen with bubbles, replaced the entire TPMS system, and several other small items.

I just realized the maintenance schedule for the Model 3 has been posted. Nothing needed until year 2 or 25k miles. I'm interested in the first 3 items they list as well as what they call Multi-point inspection.

Well you still need tire rotations at 6250 miles.

I never knew the 3 maintenance schedule was out. Thanks for the link chrono. Interesting that there is no gear fluid & oil filter change interval listed, even on the S/X. I thought the S/X used to have gear fluid change listed in the maintenance schedule.
