Factory Floor Mats?

I have upgraded my floor mats and now I have the factory ones just sitting around the house... what did you do with your factory mats after upgrading?

Good question. In the past, I've just left the factory mats below the upgraded mats. I have Tesla mats on the way so I'll need to figure something out too if I cant just leave the factory ones in.

I put the original ones in the box the new ones come in, store them in the basement, and put them back in the car when I trade it in/sell it. That way it has brand new mats. Done that for several BMWs.

The instructions explicitly say the new mats need to grip the floor carpet for safety (no sliding) so only one mat layer allowed!
