Factory Tour Question

Okay so in classic Tesla behavior, I can't get the delivery specialist assigned to my delivery to respond to a single email... Not one... Yes, frustrating...

In any case, my Model X delivery is coming up and we are taking delivery at the Fremont factory where we took delivery of our Model S and want to know what the kid restrictions are now in 2018. Does anyone here know the age/height limitations for the factor tour?

Thanks,
Jeff

I don't think there is height/weight restriction per se, but these are the general guidelines to be followed:

Tour Guidelines:

*** Please make sure that everyone follows the clothing requirements below ***

  • Everyone must wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, and a shirt with sleeves (short sleeves ok)
  • Tours start promptly on time, and last approximately one hour
  • We are unable to accommodate late arrivals
  • The registered Tesla owner must be present with guests
  • No photo or video allowed inside the factory
  • All minors must be accompanied by an adult
  • No toddlers or infants (0 – 36 months old) permitted on the tour
  • Your tour experience is subject to change depending on factory developments and its production schedule.
This includes but is not limited to: tour route, tour duration and activity within the factory

Thanks everyone, I'll email them directly and ask... I still can't get my delivery specialist to respond to a single email... Hell, I don't even know if my delivery is even going to happen on Friday...

Tesla why can't you get your employees to respond to email? Is it really that hard...???

It is normal that during rush overloads, delivery specialists don't hand hold much or want to spend too much time chit chatting with people anxiously awaiting their deliveries. They are not the ones setting up the Factory Tours. There is an entire group dedicated to that task. Scheduling the factory tour at the same time as the delivery is really great. Will be interesting to see how things have changed from the time you picked up your S. They seem to be delivering triple the cars from just a year or so ago.

Seems like they have a system that when information necessary for effecting the delivery comes to them, they then reach out to the customer. They are packed right now, and everybody is cranking out the cars as quickly as possible. It is not unusual to be contacted at the last moment, as the cars go through a final inspection and they have the authority to red tag a car for delivery that does not meet spec. Some have been called just a couple hours before delivery time to let them know they found a scratch or something that needs to be addressed before the car can be delivered.

Everyone know it is not as customer centric as it should be, but they have a job to do...
