Happened to me on first attempt, presumably because I unlocked the doors twice to retrieve something. Second attempt took leaving the update process to run its course and it worked. Please try again and let it do its own thing.

Mine failed twice. Got the second try about 4-5 days after the initial failure.
Had it in the service center this week for an unrelated reason and had them look into the logs for the firmware. Turns out there was some glitch and they had to manually transfer the software from their computer to the car.
If yours fails again I recommend calling your service center.
