Mr Steven is getting new and much larger booms and a new net. See SpaceX's Mr Steven gains upgraded arms to catch its first Falcon 9 fairings

Interesting that the ship was in reverse during that video. Thanks for posting.
Since the fairing catch was initially thought of as a Space related fairy tale, SpaceX considered the name Goodnight Moon. Would you believe The Margaret Wise Brown?Mis-named ship, in my opinion. Should be called the Maxwell Smart.
“Missed it by this much.”
Falcon fairing halves missed the net, but touched down softly in the water. Mr Steven is picking them up. Plan is to dry them out & launch again. Nothing wrong with a little swim.
That's been my expectation all along. Make them water resistant and just worry about a soft touchdown. I remain highly doubtful about catching them in mid air. Maybe one in 50, but that's not very useful.SpaceX has recovered a bunch of fairings in their recovery attempts. This is new:

If the fairings cost $5 million a pair, and you catch one half 1 out of 50 times, then it is still profitable if the cost per attempt is less than $50k.
Seems likely that we’ll be able to reuse fairings that soft-landed in the ocean. May not need net at all. Would still love to see the catch happen though
Perhaps now Elon will consider changing the name from Mr. Steven to Maxwell Smart?
