Wiki Super Heavy/Starship - General Development Discussion

Getting frosty! Will the tanks be completely filled for the test, or just partially? Obviously a static fire will not require the tanks at fall capacity but maybe SpaceX is going to get them to 100% to more closely simulate a launch?

It looks like the LOX tank is about full, and the CH4 tank is not going to fill any more because the frost line is very sharp and hasn’t changed in awhile.

Maybe all that LOX is simply to add to the mass of the vehicle to help ensure it stays on the mount during the static fire. Of course the booster is clamped to the mount, but the clamps might be designed to require a certain amount of mass to function properly.

Going to be nice to see the drone video from the test once they release it. Amazing to witness the most powerful rocket ever created coming to life, and what the implications of that are. Anybody know how many of the 33 engines are needed to reach orbit with a full payload?
