Falcon wing door and paint damage

It appears my car has a badly aligned falcon wing door as I am starting to see damaged paint spots from rubbing along the inside of my car. Is this a common thing? I put some Xpel on it as a temporary solution, but I don't know how long they will last as I can see rubbing in three different areas.
