Feature idea - virtual trailer

I was trying to figure out how to pick up my (non-tesla) car from the shop, and though it would be a cool feature if you could enable a "virtual trailer".

You could pull your tesla up behind your other car, turn on trailer mode, then get out and drive the front (non-tesla) car. The tesla would just keep itself like 1/2 car length behind the front car until the mode was turned off. It could ignore everything except just keeping itself centered on the lead car and the correct distance.

That's actually a concept that Musk has talked about for the future of the Tesla Semi. It's called "Platooning" and it would allow one driver to essentially "drive" a whole train of autonomous trucks/trailers.

I completely agree though. It would be a really neat feature to have for situations exactly like you described.
