Update:

The detailer came by Friday and worked on the car for about 4 hours. He said he would come by again this week and give the car a wash and inspection.


Here is a before shot at about 2PM:

And now the after at about the same time of day:

As you can see, there was quite an improvement.

You can still see the haze of holograms on the picture.

I'd like to see similar shots from other blue or black MSes.

Be sure the sun is high in the sky with no clouds and witha similar camera angle. My camera is an iPhone 5.

You really need to find a professional detailer before you polish off all of your paint.

Still needs some work, but that's clearly a massive improvement.

You should not be seeing anything but a straight reflection of the sun. I also know that an iPhone is not picking everything up that the naked eye would.

Hey Larry those are buffer holograms from improper use of a rotary buffer. Really needs some serious TLC to fix.

I love my Tesla very much, but the paint needed some serious help when I received it. Of course it was dark and I was too excited to notice. But I did have a real pro work in it and you can see in the pictures the difference it made. As A2DNW stated, you should only see the sun!! My detailer is actually going to Fremont this week to meet with Tesla. Trust me, even your better pictures are still a ways away from where you should should have it!
