I think it'd be a great idea to detect a link to a post here on TMC that is not a pemalink and automatically convert it to a permalink.
Edit: Not singling this guy out or anything, just an example I recently noticed: Wiki - Sudden Loss Of Range With 2019.16.x Software ... those links are to pages with anchors. If a mod changes the title, or moves a bunch of posts or something... those links will break. They should automatically be seen and converted to pemalinks when possible to prevent this.
A stretch goal: Parse the entire forum of historical posts and fix all of the broken links. There are tons of links around the forum in older posts that link to posts in a non-permalink way that are either completely broken (especially posts from back in the vB era) or otherwise incorrect (links that link to a post on a particular page using an anchor vs permalink).
It's pretty irritating to come to an older post, click a link, and end up either no where, or at the opening post vs something someone referenced.
