February 2022 Ordered and Estimated Delivery Dates

I’ve always wanted a MYP but had to order MYLR because the Wife said so. I was able to lobby for additional budget so I now can get the MYP I want - as long as it stays at the pre-increase pricing.

One more question - I don’t want the car delivered until after July because of my business trips... I said this because I saw people with February ODs getting delivery very soon after they switched. I hope that’s not the case here but it it happened, could I tell them to hold off until July or should I do the “switch” later?

I do want to make the “switch” ASAP before the wife changes her mind…

My OD was 2/1/22, switched 3/30/22, still waiting for VIN, but EDD window starts this Friday. If you want to switch, but hold off on delivery, you could make the switch now, but change financing to credit and leave the profile incomplete until you’re ready for delivery.

I would suggest to go ahead, do the switch and let everything go as supposed (profile included). Once you are given a VIN and delivery window you can reach out and if it doesn't meet your schedule you can put on hold for some time. I was ready to do so if dates were messing my Italy trip

I would suggest to go ahead, do the switch and let everything go as supposed (profile included). Once you are given a VIN and delivery window you can reach out and if it doesn't meet your schedule you can put on hold for some time. I was ready to do so if dates were messing my Italy trip

I'd be interested to know if the EDD changes in the next day or so. I've read a few recent reports where someone makes the change, it defaults to the current EDD timeframe for a new order but then jumps to a much, much sooner EDD shortly after.

The EDD changed this morning (or overnight) to a more specific one-month range of 6/13-7/11 after the switch to MYP yesterday. I am a bit nervous about the inclusion of June (want to take delivery No earlier than 7/1). It looks like I should at least start getting insurance and trade-in ready. And I should probably start getting electrician quotes for my garage charger.

Yea that happened to me. I switched to performance last Sunday - it was showing Jul-Sep. Here I am today with a VIN and EDD of 6/11-6/15.

I used the link provided in post #820 - it allowed me to change my order without having to ask anyone from Tesla to open up my account. Give it a try…

It worked and I changed mine to the MYP, same color (MSM) and seating for 5

I just used that link to see if moving my order to the “top of their inbox“ helps create some movement. I essentially updated my order to the exact the same order I had previously submitted. I ordered February 27 and about a month ago it switched from a four week window to a very vague June through August window. It now gives me a similaly vague window of July to September after the update. The local SA has no real information to provide, yet I have seen people with orders well after mine in my area receive VINs and delivery dates. I will report back if this was helpful or a mistake.
