Federal Electric Car Rebate And Colour Choice

For the Model 3 Standard Plus the price shows as $54,900. With the limit on the EV credit being $55,000, would any colour choice other than black put the car over the $55,000 limit and not eligible for the rebate?

I bought the SR+, red, white interior, with FSD. Got the federal incentive.

As long as the base MSRP is under 50K, then you can add whatever options you want.

Totally agree. I would have preferred a LR with the fed rebate but settled on a SR+ red on black.

I completely misunderstood this. I thought if the total price went over $55,000 the eligibility was gone. I wanted blue.
The details and buyer experience was scarce when I ordered days after the federal money kicked in. Guess that's the price of early adoption.

It's the price of a poor design, implementation, and communication of the Federal EV program. Cap should have been 75K to include the LR and AWD variants.
