Federal rebate, ok to file now?

Hi everyone I bought my tesla in April 2019 so I qualify for the $3750 rebate.
Is it ok to file the rebate now? Or do I need to wait? I read the document to file is not ready yet. I apologize if this is the wrong forum but I’m not sure where to place it.

There is no such thing as a Federal rebate. There is a Federal Tax Credit. It only can reduce that taxes needing to be paid.

If the form has to be submitted, then you need to correct form. To me it looks like 8936 is a current form.

Read the instructions.
If you are using Tax software, maybe check with the manufacturer.
