KBB suggested $33-36K. Carmax offered $32,000. Tesla matched over the phone. We'll see who's in the running in December when my 85D comes in.

I agree with the few who've suggested you try to Ebay or private sale, especially for the M3. If you have time???

Time is definitely the issue here, especially since this is our only car and we have 2 young kids. I'll consider throwing it up on eBay for a crazy price and see if I get any takers. It's a fairly desirable model, last of the sedan v8s.

the problem is the tax break. Taxes are so high here I would need to find a buyer at least 4k over the tesla or carmax price just to break even, and then you consider in the convenience factor...
