Comments like yours absolutely make no sense..I can buy outright but rather invest my money for a higher return. No, who would ever get into eight year car loan?! If you can’t pay it off in three years you can’t afford it.

Nice. I'm approved for 2.8%. While not a big diff, I'll ask if they can adjust on delivery as well.2.75 96mos RBC
You forgot the sales tax. Then the difference is $5100 -- looks like the federal EV incentive of $5k is considered, plus your order deposit.Friends, I got it for 2.35% for 96 months which I am fine with. Can you please shed some light on how the "Amount financed" in the below screenshot is calculated?
I attempted to get to that number as below -
Car price = $54,180
ADD : PPSA fee = $157.91
ADD : Federal A/C tax = $100
Less : Downpayment = ($7,500)
Total = $46,937.91 which is lower than the "Amount financed" in the screenshot below. What am I missing?
Thanks!

Says 2.75% on his screenshotWhen did you apply for financing? It was 2.35-2.45% for 96 months few months ago and haven't seen anyone get that recently
Sorry that should say 2.75%. My bad.Friends, I got it for 2.35% for 96 months which I am fine with. Can you please shed some light on how the "Amount financed" in the below screenshot is calculated?

Do you go to branch for application ? Or call them ?RBC 2.4% 72 months. I have banking and borrowing history with both BMO and scotia, guess it's completely random, might have been better if I kept building a relationship with BMO
In general, the big banks auto loans are originated at the dealership. If you are financing it out of a personal (etc) LOC you'd talk to your banker direct.Do you go to branch for application ? Or call them ?
Looks to me like it is showing 5375 as the cash downpayment on the loan, and then $7500 due on closing. IE 5375 + 7500 or approx 12875Why is mine showing 5375 as cash down payment instead of 7500?
not sure why that shows 5375 but if you add up everything excluding that amount it comes to 60104.03 and then you can surmise your 7500 downpayment and 100 order fee from there.
60104.03 | total cost of vehicle |
5000 | incentive |
55104.03 | cost after incentive |
7500 | downpayment - amount due |
100 | order fee |
47504.03 | amount financed |
