Here’s what my agent explained to me today. Has anyone tried it this way?

“Financing does not delay the order queue.
I would hold off on financing until the vehicle is on it’s way here.

They will be good for 60 days but I normally do not like to do this until 30 days from delivery.”

When I log into my account it asks how I’d like to pay so I don’t want to delay anything. According to them if I don’t fill this out it won’t delay anything.

I do want to try to email Tesla finance (2 emails listed on here) to go from 2.49 down to 1.99% or lower if possible and just want to make sure I have enough time to get all of that done.

Yeah I’ve also been instructed not to do the financing part of the process until it’s closer to delivery, however like you I’d like to lock in the low interest rate as soon as possible.

My agent is very slow to respond. Today he was supposed to let me know if any of the Model Y’s on the ground matched the vehicle I’m looking for. I know that buyers get matched up with an agent after they place their order. I wonder if that’s what I should have done vs speaking to one prior to the order and having him assign himself to my order. Especially since he’s so darn slow! LOL

I’m in no rush, but what I’m lost worried about is the timing when financing is ready to get applied for, rates and making sure it’s all done on time towards delivery.
