Firmware 12.1.1

Updated to 12.1.1 a couple days ago, and I've had to restart the screen a couple times due to freezes. Voice commands don't seem to work either so I can't submit bug reports... Anyone else had these kinds of issues after upgrading to 2019.12.1.1?

what do you mean ap asked for help? did it return the standard hands on wheel message that pops up if your hands are off?

Similar message, but rather than start with the blue flashes, it immediately asks for you put your hands on the wheel even if you just had done so

Anyone notice a slightly improved display of cars around you, in that there is less lag between the cars around you and their visualization on the screen? I'll pay more attention on my next longer drive, but I could swear this was the case - the visualization seemed to update a bit faster.

Found an apparent new bug in 12.1.1. When I put the car in reverse, it cuts my radio out completely. No audio is output in any station.

I think I had this happen to me this morning, but when I went into reverse the volume level went down by about 1/2 instead of cutting out completely.

Definitely found autopilot on 12.1.1 was much smoother. Hoping it’s a repeat on1.2

Yes, looks like a significant bug fix. My guess is that everyone that got 2019.12.1.1 will receive the .2 update.

My audio (music only) completely stopped on 12.1.1 and no amount of switching between inputs would bring it back. This happened twice and the only way to bring it back was to give it the 2-finger salute (reboot). I installed 12.1.2 last night so hopefully that will fix this issue.

You’re lucky Model 3 owners, my model S was build 2017 FSD 2.5 and still in software V8, no updates.

the acceleration in stop and go traffic is still woefully inadequate. on the way home today, got cut off twice in a row while allowing EAP to handle the stop and go parts. I guess it's back to keeping my foot near the accelerator.

I've experienced screen freezes related to both incoming and outgoing phone calls with my phone connected to Bluetooth; details here:

In brief, Bluetooth phone calls no longer work for me at all, and some others have reported similar problems. Sometimes (but not always) attempting to place or accept phone calls via Bluetooth causes the Tesla's screen to go black, and a manual reboot seems to be necessary. Bluetooth still works fine for playing media, though.

I recommend doing some testing in a driveway, and if Bluetooth phone calls no longer work for you, disable Bluetooth for phone calls on your phone, to minimize the risk of crashing the Tesla's screen. (This problem doesn't affect all phones, though; some work just fine.)

I got the 12.1.2 update notice and applied last night. No idea what the issues were (glad for that!)
