I've had 5.6 since yesterday morning and have yet to see it go to sleep. Definitely didn't go to sleep last night or while parked at work either yesterday or today.
I am running the teslams streaming tools in '-z' mode that shouldn't stop it from going to sleep. I will turn them off completely tonight to see if that changes things (always possible that there's a bug in the software).
And yes, I have sleep enabled in the settings (it's on by default).

Anyone have problems with the center screen blanking out under 5.6? Was on the phone with Tesla about something else and asked about the 5.6 rollout. He said some people had the 17 inch screen blank out after the update, requiring the fuse to be pulled out.

I like it that the maps are now facing the correct direction, but I am not happy that they made the font on the street names and the traffic lines very small. It is difficult to read while driving. I hope they fix this in a future release.

Is the 2X map magnification setting still available in 5.6? You could try that, maybe.

Yes it is still available. Without this the lines are too thin for my liking. With it I really like the new maps, especially the new traffic visualization.

I have to ask since no one is saying. :) With the maps in car up tracking did they correct the street names so they aren't upside down (when driving north) like they were reported to be in that mode in 5.0?

Even with the 2x setting the street names and traffic lines are still much smaller than with the 4.5 maps. They need to either fix this or add a 3x and 4x option in the settings screen. I have perfect vision and it is too small to glance over and read while driving.

Release notes say the WONT rotate and will be fixed in a future version.

Received notification of FW update this morning. Currently downloading it. VIN 8XXX.

No VIN feeding frenzy please. It's been completely clear over the last year that VINs have nothing to do with sequencing of updates.

Though I can confirm dirkhh's observation that they do.

I've noticed that the iPhone app connects much more quickly with 5.6 than with 5.0. I'm almost suspicious that the car's not sleeping!

Which is why RTFRN may not be as good as Brian's invisible text!!!

Mine is definitely not sleeping. Vampire losses seem higher than with 4.5. It has been cooler outside but the garage is very well insulated... I don't think that's the issue...

I appreciate people continuing to post the status of their updates. While it's true there is no correlation between VIN and priority number, it confirms that the update is still being rolled out and has not been put on hold.

Hmm, that's odd. After months of beta testing I would've thought sleep mode would have been pretty rock solid. Are you sure your key fob isn't within range?

My MS with 5.6 is definitely a little groggy many times. This has included a delay to release the UMC, a delay in the speedo display booting up, and a much increased delay to respond to the App. The delay to the App happened with the interior temperature at 27˚F. this morning. BTW, to get the interior temp, I often have to turn the Climate Control on then off.
