First 60kWH delivery notice or email - who will it be?

For the record, P9964. VIN# 4924.

I was told today that the car is in "burn in" process and should be ready for factory pick-up next Tuesday (2/12).

Unfortunately, due to personal scheduling issues (worst weekend ever to be going to Tahoe!) will likely not be able to take delivery until 2/19. Going to be a long two week wait!

Clayton

Clayton: It's you and me again. LOL. I'm P9965 and just got Vin #4925 today. I don't know what state my car is in but I'm skiing in Park City until Wed 2/13. Looks like my car MAY be available by then or a day or two later. I got lucky with my scheduling I guess. Sorry man.

Interesting that vin number and reservation sequence number are exactly one away. Shows that there is at least some attempt for the sequencing to be followed where the configurations allow for it.

Also, I may just do pickup and factory tour myself, as my Tuesday schedule works better than wife and kids and I'm not sure I can suffer another week wait. :)

>>>> Update <<<<

Car is done. Picking it up on Monday 2/11 @ 11am at the Factory. Was offered Sunday @ 1pm, but I couldn't make it due to a conflict. Delivery specialist told me that deliveries, even at the factory, were pretty backed up. Looks like they're making them faster than they can deliver them!

This beats my original delivery window by almost a week.

So excited. I know I have been on this forum and read quite a bit of let downs with the delivery team. However, I have to say - my process was above expectation! So for a change of some good feedback for Tesla's Reservation, Inside Delivery, and Delivery teams!

I have been following Tesla since 2006 and have been anxiously waiting for mine. Here is my timeline:

2012.04.22 - Reservation made (coincidentally it was Earth day)
2012.07.14 - First test drive at Amped Tour just made the wait much harder
2012.11.13 - Finalized the configuration
2013.01.18 - Delivery timeframe received for Feb 21 - Mar 7
2013.02.04 - VIN issued
2013.02.05 - Purchase Agreement received
2013.02.06 - Confirmation of delivery for Feb 15th @ 12:00 PM!

P8460 VIN# 4802:
- Black Paint
- All Glass Panoramic Roof
- 19" Wheels
- Black Leather Interior
- Obeche Wood Gloss Décor
- 60 kWh Battery
- Tech Package
- Sound Studio Package
- Active Air Suspension
- Rear Facing Seats
- Paint Armor
- Supercharging

Next Friday can't come soon enough!

Be warned to take that date with a grain of salt. I was given a date a week and a half before too, but that day (today) came and went with no word from anyone. I had to place multiple calls to Tesla and UPS to find that the car was being held at the factory for a keyfob issue (after being told it left on a truck on Saturday). A heads up last week when they knew this would have been nice.

Thanks for the heads up. The car left the factory on Monday and is enroute to Rockville, MD service center. They expect to get it early-mid next week and scheduled the delivery confirmation based on that. I am hoping no hiccups (or issues) arise in between now and then. Being very optimistic - but that's how I always am.

What is your window and when did you finalize? Look forward to seeing your car around town. There will be at least three gray 60kwh in Los Altos when mine arrives, hopefully later this month.

Was just called and informed that car will be finished and ready as soon as Thursday.

First factory pick-up available was Sunday 2/10 @ 1pm, but I couldn't make it due to previous commitments.

Will instead go there on Monday 2/11 @ 11am!

Interesting. I'm hoping I'm right on your heels. I also finalized on 12/27.

I wouldn't be surprised if they have a VIN number for you already. The delivery team seems pretty busy and it took several calls to get a call back. Even then, it went from "your car has just entered early production and might be done in 10 days" to "your car will be done on Thursday" in less than 24 hours. So if you're the impatient type (I am), you can call. I wouldn't bother with email or voice mail. They don't seem to get returned very quickly as the team seems absolutely pegged.

I'm happy you all are posting your experiences. After seeing several others take delivery with similar or later VINS, sequence numbers, configurations and finalize dates I decided to call for an update. I was initially told my window of 2/19-3/5 was still accurate. After a mild push for a more detailed status I was transferred to a very helpful person who told me my car was complete and would deliver to the service center in Chicago tonight. I was expecting delivery in another week or two. I'm sure they'll get better at the communication piece. I hope they were right about the delivery tonight as the service center is 2 miles away from home and I wanna peak. Thanks all.

@ClaytonTMC -- Thanks for posting pics of your you car. It came just in time - I have to finalize tonight and have been going back and forth between the grey and the blue. I'm now sold on the grey. It looks very classy. Congratulations and enjoy the car.
