Woohoo!! Scheduled my car pickup for 4/20/2013 at the Costa Mesa Service Center (barring no delays). So excited!!!!

Still some skepticism since the Product Specialist said my car goes into production next week... but I guess it could go through production (and QC) and transported down to SoCal in time for me to pick up on Saturday.

edit:
haha. the Delivery Specialist called to re-assure me that 4/20 is good (they read these forums ). ha! 420 is good.. i kill me.

Well I couldn't stand the suspense so emailed...given a delivery window of May 10-22. I don't know if that made me feel better or worse! Now how to make a month or so go by faster!

Congrats! Well at least you now have a date to aim for to get all your ducks in order! I find that reading the forums makes time move so much slower (especially reading other people's delivery experiences).

I think I'll throw myself into work so I can take some vacation time around delivery! Or start shopping for accessories (I am a girl, after all). My ducks are already in order, pretty much...have the space on my panel to do an easy add for the 14-50, and plenty of friends in the electrical biz luckily! I will finance thru my employer (big bank)...already approved. All that's left is waiting. I simply cannot imagine how people have handled their much longer waits...I would surely have gone mad.

Picked up my car today from the factory. We were the only one taking the delivery so it was quite a personalized experience with the tour, but that meant no pictures, absolutely none. Saw one red on the production line, the color looks very nice. Couldn't get the VIN number but there were parts in different areas of the factory for VIN's as high as 97xx. The shift had just got over so there was not much in the way of active production happening at the time but nevertheless the entire production process is very impressive.

Loving the car, it's a beauty. It's fast enough for me, though the performance model that I test drove was something. Bluetooth, Homelink setup was super easy and worked very well. It will take sometime getting used to many aspects of the car, specially driving with regenerative braking at standard level. No due bills, surprisingly though, the car came with a 60 badge on it. I have yet to get the floor mats, wish those were just thrown in so I don't have to watch every feet stepping in the car before I get the mats. My recommendation for folks taking delivery soon, order them ahead of delivery, will just be less stressful afterwards.

For all my friends here at TMC who kept company while waiting, thanks, you made the wait a lot easier than it otherwise would be. For those taking delivery soon, hang in there with the ICE for a few more days coz this car will elevate the joy of driving to new levels.

Congrats again SShrivas! Enjoy the car (I'm sure you already are)!

I already have all my mats for that very reason. And this is the first I've ever heard of a 60 badge. Interesting. I'd prefer not to have it! I've never de-badged a car before, but I willconsider it if mine comes with the 60 on it.

Congratulations @jomo25. It's all becoming real for you, though not a day sooner.

Congrats Jomo!

I agree, I wouldn't want the 60 badge, unless they give it to me unattached and I can hang it on my x-mas tree. I can understand wanting it for the P85's. I now have a DS from the SC I will be picking up the car from. I had been talking to a PS (product specialist) before.
