Agreed and it's worth saying that the wait is well worth it. So far for the car. Can't talk about the updates OS.

Yeah. Moving the headrest up an inch or so would make a huge difference in my comfort level.

Yea don't forget service appointments are weeks out and parts are another weeks wait. Good stuff comes to those who wait!

I just got the same update in our X60D, but unfortunately it was just for a new version on 7.1 that updates the falcon wing doors. Hopefully we'll be getting 8.0 soon!

Did you already have 2.36.31 and it pushed again? I had that but at a SC. Not sure why many of us are getting multiple copies of it, it was the big security patch.

8.0 soon hopefully.

I thought I did but don't recall the exact rev after 7.1. Just picked it up last Thursday from the factory so I would assume that it already had the security patch.

Having read the voluminous thread on v8S forums I'd say: count yourself lucky that you still have 7.1.

Do you mind sharing the cliff notes? I've heard bits and pieces about issues with Music and general UI bugs. I can live with those. My main desire for 8.0 is improved AP.

Cliff notes from what I've seen on S forum:

1. AP (TACC) part seems better, distance from cars, smoother breaking/acceleration.
2. AP (Lane Keep/Steering) part is what people are complaining about, or regarding as flat out dangerous now around things like semis, less accurate reading of lines, etc. People attribute to starting new fleet learning over, etc.
3. LOTS of other small nit picky things on Ss that should apply to Xs like lost steering wheel controls, not liking the extra step with top bar when hidden, media player looks good but is harder to use, lots of reboot claims, navigation is not really better besides the full screen thing as still uses Navigon mapping (built in maps in IC) even with Google data on big screen, no waypoints, etc.

It'll be interesting to see all the above in a new version for us and S likely, and how the other minor features in Xs like seats, doors especially, are all impacted...
