    Hello,

I placed a reservation for a dual motor Cybertruck the day following the reveal. When my "number" comes up, will I be able to upgrade it to a tri-motor?

    Thanks.

The type of cT that you reserved will determine WHEN your "number" will come up, but they will be happy to make any config that they are currently offering. Since they plan to offer the Tri-Motor initially, no problem, but if you wanted the RWD you would have to wait until they were available. The one thing that they won't do is honor the old $7000 FSD price if you didn't reserve it in advance.

Modifying your reservation will not change your place in line. But if Tesla plans on making the Tri-motor first, switching to the Tri-motor might move your priority up in line so to speak. In the past, Tesla has delivered regionally, for instance Model 3 was delivered closer proximity before reaching out to mid/east coast. Will be built in the middle of the country, so hard to say whether or not that will continue.

By the way, I think upgrading to the tri-motor is a smart move...

    Thanks for the replies.

I'm reservation # 80K, but I'm in Canada, so I don't know what will happen when my number comes up...

I pre-ordered the AWD but my final decision depends on the final specs and feature list for the AWD and tri-motor.

Also depends how TSLA is doing at the time. Hopefully $20K won't matter then. :D

Im wanting to do the same thing. The more I think about the tri-motor, the more I want it...yes the speed is awesome, but really just for the range. 500+ miles is amazing.
