Hello, TMC community. I'm a former lurker, a TMC member since ordering, and now a bona fide Tesla driver. Although I haven't participated in car forums in a few years, I was once an active member of Spyderchat.com, a forum dedicated to the third-generation Toyota MR2 Spyder--any other former Spyderchat folks here?
One of the best things about TMC is the general civility toward new members: most people who ask a genuine question get a helpful answer and aren't simply told to RTFM or search. I imagine the forum's membership has become much bigger and more diverse with the explosion in the number of Teslas on the street since the M3 and MY went on sale and it's nice to see some of the old-timers still contributing.
