We’ve had the car for two months next week. And we’re completely enamored with it. Commuting, it’s a stunner. Basically cut gas cost by over 75%! Charging at home on a 240 in the garage is so nice…not pumping gas…
we have 5500 miles on it, which included a 2100 mile mountains trip to Colorado. the cost for that trip was $149 in supercharging. Got one hotel with a charger, so nice. But still cheaper than the suv by a factor of 3.
besides the cheapness, the y is a very comfortable tourer. Seats, space, quietness and autopilot conspired to make the trip much less tiring. 13 hrs one day! The most we’ve done as a family. Usually it’s around 10.
I’m a high mile-ing motorcyclist who dislikes stopping too often. But, The “get-there-itis” I thought I might experience a lot, stopped surfacing after the second stop. Loved it. Visited local shops, kicked the soccer ball with the boy… watched some of the Mrs’ tv shows…did some bike watching with my older son.
One of my favorite parts was live announcing the percentage regen on the way DOWN mt evans. My kids started cracking jokes at me. Great time, we got 11% back by the time we hit Idaho Springs.
I’m anxious for when I need to replace the next car so we can get another one. (Or order a cyber truck lol)
