I prefer 2020. I also may be one of the few who is upset the standard USB ports are now USB-C. Everything I use is USB: game controllers, port splitter, charging cables, flash drive for sentry/dashcam.
Umm.... you want an outdated standard on your brand new car?

USB-C allows for 27W of charging power in a Model 3, whereas the USB-A ports top out at 10W. Adapters are available. All things being equal, if I were to have the choice, I'd go with USB-C for future proofing.
