Fit issues

I have had the car for almost three weeks now, and love the car so far. However, the car does have some fit issues in the two doors on the driver side (rear door is lower and protruding) and the trunk lid (not lining up with the C pillar on the passenger side). They are fairly noticeable, especially the door misalignment. I notified my IDA about the issues within days after the delivery. The IDA shot an email to the SC closest to me, asking them to take care of them. So far I haven't heard from the SC.

I was wondering if you have any experience/advice in having fit issues fixed by the SC that you could share?

My Model 3 had a hood alignment issue as well as paint chips (driver door sill) and scratches (driver's side front fender) when I took delivery. At this point, not quite sure if it's the hood or the fender, as the spacing is even except in about a 10" section where the hood meets the passenger side front fender. I accepted delivery and then called Tesla back two days later and complained. The service person I spoke to said the Rocklin, CA location has all the paint and body work performed at a local body shop about 1.5 miles away. Anyway, she told me to add it to my due bill when I have my initial consultation with the body shop and also told me they wanted to make sure I had a "Positive experience with Tesla".

On my consult with the body shop, I brought up the hood alignment and informed them Tesla instructed me to add it to the Due Bill. Unfortunately, the first available appointment is Feb 18, 2019. My service advisor also commented the gap was uneven and they would try and align it better . The panel gap was much worse before I adjusted the black bumpers at the front of the hood to level it.

My delivery advisor was of no real help and I just spoke to someone else instead.

Good luck with your car !!!
