Five millimeter thick wheel spacers

I have a 2020 Tesla model 3P. I am running after market 18 inch wheels with 255/40 tires. I wanted to push the wheels out away from the control arm at the front but I wanted to keep the stock studs on the hub so the thick 15 mm spacers from Blox were out of the question. I found these great 5 mm spacers that fir perfectly. You don’t even have to remove the hex screw on the hub. They are for Nissans but they work on the model 3 Performance https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LXLJ5G1?ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details&th=1

These are not for looks/stance because they are only 5 mm. They just give the wheel/tire more clearance from the control arm. They can also be used on the stock 20 inch wheels and that will increase the offset from +35 to +30. My current 18 inch wheel set-up is at +40.

Those look great but the description says they have a 66mm bore. Are you sure they are chamfered enough to fit OK on the 70mm hub step of the Performance brake rotor?

I also wanted 5mm spacers for a slight visual improvement without causing stud or steering issues but I couldn't find a set that I really liked so I made my own. 🤓

I used the little bolt to secure the spacer so that it doesn't get stuck to the wheel and mixed up during tire rotations. The two extra holes help to balance the hub by offsetting the bolt weight, 'cuz why not?

One of the things I didn't like about the available spacers was that they all use a 6" outer diameter which is a bit smaller than the wheel hub leaving a visible gap between the wheel and rotor. I made mine 6-1/4" OD for a more flush fit. I assume the shiny cut edge will soon dull to match the brake rotor and become indistinguishable.

The 66 mm center bore is a bit larger than the 64.1 mm hub on the model 3 Performance. They fit perfectly despite that. I would have gone with custom ones like you did. I did that on my old race car, but I saw no need for doing it with my road car.
 
It’s hard to tell from the pics if it’s completely flush with the hat but just be careful and check your lugs weekly. Mine kept moving a little bit especially in the rears. Now I’m running MPP’s front rotors and no spacers on the back since there no clearance issue but it doesn’t look as nice for sure.

Thanks for the heads up. I have my torque wrench with the right socket in the trunk. I will rétorque after a few hundred miles.

I just tried to use there's on the front of my MP3 and they do not fit. Not only was it rather difficult to get over the studs, the center bore would not clear the step. I had the chamber side facing in. Either yours are not seated correctly, or there may be a change in the specifications made at some point. Either way, this is more of a warning to others that read this post.
